Payment & Refund Terms

Effective: 2026-05-12 · The Korean version is legally authoritative.

These terms govern paid subscription billing and refunds for the segi service operated by Extension Co., Ltd. They supplement the separate Terms of Service; both apply together.

1. Scope

  1. These terms apply to members who subscribe to a paid plan (Team or Enterprise).
  2. Free plan users are not subject to the billing provisions herein.
  3. Enterprise customers may enter a separate written contract; where it differs, the separate contract prevails.

2. Payment Methods and Timing

  1. Payment is accepted only via recurring card billing (billing key).
  2. The first charge occurs immediately upon subscription and consent to these terms; that date sets the monthly billing cycle.
  3. Recurring charges are made monthly on the cycle anniversary via the registered card.
  4. Payments are processed through TossPayments Co., Ltd. Full card numbers are not stored on our servers; only the encrypted billing key issued by TossPayments is retained.

3. Prices and VAT

  1. All displayed prices are in Korean Won (KRW) and include VAT.
  2. Business members requesting a tax invoice (세금계산서) must supply business registration details at checkout; invoices are issued in monthly batches.

4. Refund Policy

  1. Cancel mid-cycle: No refund of the current period; access continues until the next billing date, then downgrades to Free automatically.
  2. Upgrade mid-cycle: The price differential is prorated and charged immediately; the new tier takes effect at once.
  3. Downgrade mid-cycle: Takes effect at the next billing date; no proration credit on the current period.
  4. Service-fault refund: If service is unavailable due to our fault for ≥ 24 continuous hours, you may request a prorated refund for the outage window.
  5. Customer-error refund: Within 7 days of charge, at our discretion, with no significant usage (< 100 events, 0 recordings).
  6. Statutory cooling-off (전자상거래법): 7-day right of withdrawal for paid digital services that have not been used. Once you start using the service, this right may be restricted.

5. Failed Payments

  1. On a failed recurring charge we retry at +1, +3, and +7 days (up to three attempts).
  2. After the third failure, the subscription enters "past_due" status. After 14 days the subscription is downgraded to Free.
  3. You can update your card and retry from the billing page at any time.

6. Cancellation

  1. Cancel any time from Organization → Billing.
  2. Cancellation is effective immediately for future charges; no further automatic charges occur.
  3. All paid features remain available until the end of the current billing cycle.

7. Dispute Resolution

  1. Disputes are resolved through good-faith negotiation between Extension Co., Ltd and the member.
  2. Where negotiation fails, the Korean Electronic Commerce Act and related laws apply.
  3. The court of competent jurisdiction is the court covering our registered office.

8. Business Information

These terms take effect on the effective date above. Existing subscribers must re-consent to any amendment before performing further billing actions; routine event ingestion is not blocked.
